SLR Council to remain uncontested at AGM

Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) are scheduled to conduct their Annual General Meeting (AGM) today on Zoom commencing at 9.30 a.m.

The incumbent office-bearers will remain uncontested headed by President Rizly Illyas.

The AGM will be conducted with the participation of a representative from Asia Rugby (AR) along with an observer from the Sports Ministry.

This will be the first instance that a SLR AGM is being held via zoom after the Sports Ministry had granted permission.

Along with Illyas, the Council which served the last tenure will continue without any election at this AGM.

The SLR Office-Bearers: Rizly Illyas (President), Nazeem Mohamed (Deputy President), Rear Admiral H. A. U. D. Hettiarachchi (Vice-President), Susantha Mendis (Vice-President), Jude Pillai (Secretary) and Dinesh Anthony Perera (Treasurer).

Council Members: Rizly Illyas (President), Nazeem Mohamed (Deputy President), Rear Admiral H. A. U. D. Hettiarachchi (Vice-President), Susantha Mendis (Vice-President), Jude Pillai (Secretary), Dinesh Anthony Perera (Treasurer), Committee Members: Fazal Mohamed, Roshan Deen, Jivan Goonetilleke, SSP Neranjan Abeywardana, Bandula Mallikarachchi, Pavithra Fernando, Pradeep Basnayake and Samantha Nanayakkara.
