Sri Lanka Lions were unbeaten at the Paris World Games which concluded short while ago.
Sudarshana Muthuthantri's men traveled to Paris to compete in an open tournament on Tuesday. Lions finished victorious in day one (Saturday) over RDC Congo 48 - 10 followed by two French teams Ocean's Sevens 33 - 12, Club HEC 25 - 00.
The top two teams in both pools played in the cup semi finals and Sri Lanka Lions won 28 - 07 over Ocean's Seven rouge and beat Bagneux with a 50 - 00 thrash in the finals.
This is a much needed experience ahead of the Asian Games which will be held at Indonesia next month. However, all these players will play in the Mercantile sevens on 20th - 22nd July which will allow more competition among the national players in the cup segment.
