By Shamzeer Jaleel

Sri Lanka fifteens outfit for the Asian Rugby Championship 2019 Division I will be selected tomorrow when Kandy Origins and Colombo Origins lock horns at Havelock Park under lights at 6/30 pm.

This encounter will be a supporting game for Sri Lanka Rugby Legend, Chandrishan Perera. All funds collected will be made available for Shan from this encounter. Colombo outfit will be led by Omalka Gunaratne while Roshan Weeraratne will lead the Kandy team.

Sri Lanka national outfit will tour Malaysia during May 2019 where they will play two encounters against the national Malaysian outfit who will feature in the top in Asia playing among Hong Kong and Korea later this month on a home and away basis. These two encounters will be a good exposure for the Sri Lankan lads. Following tomorrow%u2019s game, a 33-member national squad will be finalized.

Two play makers, Kandy SC's Shehan Pathirana and Havies iron Man, Dushmantha Priyadarshana both will miss out due to injuries which will be a major concern for the national selectors.

Colombo outfit will be coached by Viraj Prasanna while Fazil Marija will take charge of the Outstation side. On Tour New Zealand national and former Trinity Head Coach, Matt Lee will be in charge of the outfit with Fazil and Viraj assisting him.
