Ambassador of Japan graces Dialog Rugby League
The dialog rugby league which is into its 7th week has been exciting and there have been some close hard fought games taking place between the top tier 8 teams. CH & FC played host to defending champions Kandy SC last week at the Racecourse grounds in Colombo. During this game the Japan Embassy in Sri Lanka made a donation of rugby balls to Sri Lanka Rugby. The special occasion was graced by H.E. Akira Sugiyama, Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka, who made the presentation to the President of Sri Lanka rugby Mr. Lasitha Gunarathne. The Ambassador furthermore promised that Japan will continue to support Sri Lanka rugby and help to strengthen the game even more in Sri Lanka
