Soon after, Air Force got their first points on the board through a penalty from Gayantha Iddamalgoda in the 28th Minute of the game.
Though it was slippery conditions, Kandy managed to handle the ball to work their line well for Diluksha Dange to touch down near the corner flag on the brink of half time. Kandy went in to half time with comfortable lead of 19 to 03 over the visitors.
Captain Nigel Ratwatte put his name on the score sheet soon into the 2nd half with the help of his forwards to score the 4th try for the host. Thilina Wijesinghe showed his kicking skill once again completing a difficult kick through the post. Kandy were up 26 points to 03.
